Evolving from its humble beginnings in January of 2001, Keller Williams Realty of Manatee was formed by Leland and Kathe Wallace and Jim and Julie Warrender, all former ReMax agents, along with their assistants Beverly Laraway and Wendy Herndon.  Utilizing card tables, folding chairs and cell phones, the office began in a small complex on Manatee Avenue West.  Within a few short months a number of brave agents, swayed by the Keller Williams culture and training classes available, joined the company in spite of the fact that when placing calls or trying to set showing appointments, they were initially met with the question, "Keller Who?"

As we grew, it became obvious that we needed a larger, more visible office.  The search led us to a location in the bank building directly across from the Desoto Square Mall.  It met our needs perfectly; offering light, bright office space right in the middle of the county which allowed us to serve customers county wide.  In 2004, we opened a satellite office at the corner of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard and State Road 70.  Because of the success of this location, it was decided to move the main office east to its current location on State Road 64 and consolidate the two locations.

Over the years, there have been some ownership changes, agents have come and gone, but the resolve and determination of the original Keller Williams Realty of Manatee has remained strong as evidenced by continued growth, quality education programs, and involvement in the local Association of Realtors.
